Weekend To-Do List: Superbowl

Hi there Lexers. This is one of those rare weekends when we’re looking forward to Sunday just as much as we’re looking forward to Friday evening happy hour. Why? The Superbowl. To be honest, we here at Lex and the City could care less who’s playing (although for the record, we’re putting out money on the Saints) because this sporting event is about more than just tossing a ball around and dancing in the end zone. It’s about the delicate balance between eating, drinking and social merriment. So send those New Members drive on down to Buffalo Wild Wings, stock up on the Natty Light and enjoy trying to spot Kim Kardashian in a VIP box. It doesn’t hurt that there is a solid chance we won’t have school on Monday. That is, of course, if the Provost’s office feels the impulse to look outside at some point during the day and make a rational decision, if only because everyone else is doing it. Seriously folks, not to gripe, but  I think it’s time to either trade in our Provost for someone at the Rockbridge Weather Center or buy the one we have a seeing eye dog.
