Lexington Q&A

Why Hello there Lexers. I hope everyone is having a stellar week. Things have been a little crazy here at the LATC office, but as things slow down and near towards graduation, we’re sure everything will fall into place. With that said, there are a few burning questions that people want answered so here goes (and if you’re question didn’t make the cut, you always send on in here)

Q: How far out of college until someone can’t hook up with undergrads anymore?

A: Now, I’m assuming someone is starting early on their Alumni weekend plans (or maybe just coming to town to sketch it up. Who knows) and here at Lex and the City we appreciate people who plan ahead. With that said, I say follow the simple “If We Were in School Together” rule. Simply put, if they were here or could have been here while you were in school, then it’s A-Ok for you to canoodle during a visitation weekend. I would caution any alumni coming back soon though to be careful of the recent outbreak plaguing those freshman halls. And yes, I am talking about the herpe still.

Q: Why are so many people getting engaged?

A: I find this question to be enormously offensive. How in the hell am I supposed to know why people are getting engaged? Perhaps some of them are abstinent until marriage and have realized how idiotic that is, so they’re jumping in early. Perhaps there’s some rare illness going around and people feel the need to fulfill all of life’s goals before they keel over. Or maybe even they’re quite possibly in love. Believe it or not, folks, but generationally speaking, those that aren’t already engaged or married are the odd balls. Why, in my little hometown, 65% of my graduating class has already walked down the aisle and some even have two kids with names like La-a and Trenyce. Getting engaged this young isn’t an anomaly, in fact outside of our little bubble, it’s commonplace. So I congratulate all of those happy couples that are saving money by using their FD dresses/tuxes on a second occasion… down the Lee Chapel aisle.

Have a fun weekend Lexers, and come back Monday for a new LATC (A doozie, I promise).
